The first chapter, and its three questions were a simple walk in the park compared to the second chapter; I feel like I have just run a marathon.
It’s 2100 Wednesday evening, and I’ve just spent a couple of hours marking a small pile of mini assessments from my Y8 class. It’s a “sacrifice” which teachers everywhere will recognise. Rowan Williams writes in his chapter about a range of things which would be deemed acceptable as a sacrifice to God, and then asks “In what way do the images or passages on sacrifice, either from the Old Testament or the New Testament, inspire you?”
